Us Too: Demystifying Who Domestic Abuse Affects' is a project directed by the company Changing Relations from County Durham who aim to challenge everyday perceptions of a variety of social issues from gender rolls to domestic violence.
'UsToo' was an exhibition hosted at the Bowes Museum in October of 2019, as well as range of educational materials, which uses a mix of interviews with abuse survivors and orchestral music to interpret and communicate the journey that survivors have lived.
Lizzie worked on the visuals for this exhibition, inspired by the incredible words from these anonymous survivors.
"It's Grim Up North" is an exhibition themed around the stories of Northern women and nonbinary people, as well as all of the beautiful places that have been important to themselves and the region as a whole. After a year of research, development and unexpected events, the exhibition was presented physically for staff and students and digitally for the general public
In 2019 and 2020 Fuel Theatre asked the people of Hartlepool about their favourite places and considered the stories that those places told. Lizzie was comissioned to turn those words and places into images and create a map of Hartlepool through the community's eyes.
