PART ONE

LIBRARY CONVERSATIONS.

In November of 2021, Lizzie began to develop the 'Our Words' project as part of the 'Season of Northern Conversations' presented by South Tyneside Council.

Lizzie engaged in conversations with over 100 people in person and online, to generate a full picture of what Northerness was to the people of the local area, before developing a project book, a Mini Zine and a visual arts exhibition

PART TWO

LIBRARY CREATIVITY.

During part two of the project, Lizzie engaged in various activities to encourage creative activity and curiousity around the library of South Tyneside.

This included an artist talk/seminar, a series of conversational residency days and workshop activities including reportage illustration and zine making.

The visual output of this project was a second Mini Zine
