The Young Peoples Podium (YPP) was a project that was part of the Festival of Thrift. It invited young people (25 and under) to speak their mind on a stage, campaigning for things that they believed in.
During the writing session leading up to the festival, Lizzie penned 'Do You Know Who I Am', a piece of writing which challenges the class system and how many barriers working-class people of the North East face, particularly in education. Libraries demolished, school systems de-funded and opportunities taken. Lizzie spoke out at Redcar Palace art gallery to a room of local council members, and again at the festival.
