In 2023, Tees Valley Arts partnered with the South Tees Wellbeing Network and the National Centre for Creative Health to produce a project called "Creative Huddle."
Lizzie was brought into this project as resident artist, to watch sessions, prompt conversations and engage with participants who worked within the health and culture sector.
After a series of workshop sessions, Lizzie developed and produced a "Not-So-Policy Document" entitled PORTRAIT OF A WELLNESS WORKER. This contains lyrical and poetic minutes exploring the lives, stories and experiences of these wellbeing workers.
This work was completed and displayed in 2024 at Redcar Palace Art Gallery.
This is a not-so policy document made from poetry, pictures and portraits – in a
non-traditional sense. You can look at this as a guide, think about our well being and
how best to treat our wellness workers in the creative industry, but it’s more like a
captured moment. A still frame in a film still in progress. The landscape is ever shifting.
Our world is built on sand.
Remember to let yourself be carried by the flow of the Tees.
Move with us, not against us.
Listen. Adapt. Develop. Repeat.
